It is 3 miles west of Avilés, 20 miles west of Gijón, 25 miles northwest of Oviedo and 4 miles east of Asturias Airport. Although not properly in the coastline, it is within walking distance from the beaches of Salinas, Arnao and Santa maria del Mar.
